Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This Black Swallowtail (Papilio polyxenes asterius) caterpillar is feeding on Queen Anne's Lace on 8/12/10. I can never find this particular butterfly, but they apparently lay eggs in my yard.
