Artist's Description

This Cecropia Moth emerged from its coccoon on June 15,2010. I was fortunate enough to photograph this moth from 3rd instar caterpillar to this. Its Birthday. I was worried, the cocoon was covered with 3 feet of snow and ice throughout most of the winter.
